NAVICORK FD01 is a cork decking solution developed by Amorim Cork Solutions specifically for marine environments. Cork stands out for its light weight, water resistance, excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, non-slip surface, and pleasant tactile quality. But for Evene Tenders, the choice went beyond technical performance — it was a strategic decision aligned with a more sustainable, conscious, and forward-looking manufacturing approach.
A material with a positive environmental impact
One of cork’s most compelling competitive advantages is its positive environmental footprint. It is a 100% natural, renewable, and recyclable material, harvested without cutting down trees. In fact, cork extraction supports the vitality of cork oak forests — ecosystems that play a critical role in carbon capture. According to Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies conducted by the independent entity ITECONS[1], NAVICORK FD01 delivers a negative carbon footprint, with verified values of -0.97 kg CO₂ eq./m² (6 mm) and -0.69 kg CO₂ eq./m² (8 mm), from raw material extraction to the factory gate.
